Just because.

post 2 - january 30

1 Corinthians 13:4 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

This week, I haven't been very loving. Sure, at times I was kind, but I was just covering up my bitter heart. I don't really know why I was acting as I was, though I do belive God was testing my patience, and how I act in certain situations. I am deeply sorry if I hurt you this week by my actions or words, I don't know what overcame me. I love you all.. I pray that God would give me the strength to be kind to others, no matter the time of day, my feelings, their feelings, religion, race, previous, actions, and whatever else I can think of. I pray that you all will, too.

Weird Conversation of the Day
Andy: Whoa, what the heck happened to your eyebrows?
Me: WHAT?! There's nothing wrong with them! Is there? No!! What are you talking about? SHUT UP!
Andy: I was kidding, I'm sorry. I wasn't serious, I'm sorry. I love you, Brooke. You know what? I have a confession to make.
Me: Oh? What is that?
Andy: When first I met you, I thought you were a druggie.
Me: Oh, that's nice. (long pause) UGH! You're right! My eyebrows are messed up!
Andy: BROOKE! I was kidding! They're fine! There's nothing wrong with you. I swear. (10 seconds later) Uhh, eww, what happened to your fingernails?
Me: AHHHH!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I'm not, for various reasons. But I get to babysit in about an hour and a half, which will be pretty sweet. I've been getting alot of babysitting offers lately, which I am ecstatic about. My birthday is exactly one month from today. Which means I get to start driving, baby! Wooo! Hope you all have a good day (for the most part) and good luck bluejackets at tonights games! And Happy Birthday, Mr. Pearson!

Weird Conversation of the Day
Mom: Brooke, do you have any money?
Me: No, why?
Mom: I'm hungry. I want snacks or some food or something.
Me: Oh, sorry. (long pause) Oh, yeah. Jac can't bring you the paper cuz she doesn't have one.
Mom: Darnit! Can you go buy one for me?
Me: I don't have any money, Mom, I told you that.
Mom: Hmm. Well, I do.

Weird Conversation of the Day
Me: (anxiously digging through closet looking for shoes)
Mom: Oh, Brooke, what are you doing? Looking for a snack for school?
Me: (blank stare)
Mom: Oh! I thought you were digging through the other closet.

Happy New Year! I hope you have have been doing well. School has been going well, I think I am improving in most of my classes because I have this determination to do well (and I don't know where it came from). I've went over to people's houses and had alot of fun with a game she got for Christmas, I've went to baking gigs and new year's bashes, seen a new baby and even participated in a talent show. But I've mostly stayed home, which I needed. My mom lacks company most of the time and I like staying home with her, but I like getting out, too. I'm now on the 4th book of a kick awesome series (I'm a slow reader. Not really. I just slack off and watch TV instead) which I got for Christmas (even though it is in the wrong order). Also, I have a dress for prom alt.! It's really nice.
I have come up with a new idea for the end of each post. I will post an interesting conversation I have participated in that struck me funny, for my own entertainment and hopefully yours.

Weird Conversation of the Post
Me: (coughs uncontrollably for around 30 seconds)
Jac: Bless you.
Me: I coughed.
Jac: Oh. Heehee.
